A leading figure in the preservation and propagation of classical dance, Smt. Goruganthu Uma Jayasree is an acclaimed Kuchipudi exponent and the co-founder of Sri Radha Krishna Sangeeta Nrutya Kalakshetra. Her unwavering commitment to the art form and to nurturing students has made her a beloved guru, creative choreographer, and cultural mentor.
Her productions—whether solo recitals or grand ballets—are admired for their devotional integrity, precise technique, and evocative storytelling. Uma Jayasree’s strength lies in infusing mythological themes with emotional expression and dramatic flair, making each performance a journey of spiritual depth and aesthetic excellence.
Through decades of teaching and leadership, she has helped transform the Kalakshetra into a vibrant cultural institution. Her tireless work in conducting workshops, training programs, and cultural festivals has inspired hundreds of students to pursue Kuchipudi with passion and discipline.
One of Dr. Narayana’s most impactful contributions to Indian cultural outreach is the Sampoorna Bharat Yatra—a nationwide cultural pilgrimage that takes Indian classical music, dance, and dharmic teachings to every corner of the country. Through this program, he has led hundreds of students and performers on a journey that covers temples, heritage towns, spiritual centers, and cultural institutions across India.
The Yatra is not just a travel experience but a spiritual and educational odyssey—designed to immerse participants in the living traditions of India. It features live performances, heritage lectures, bhakti sessions, and collaborative engagements with local artists and scholars. By connecting with the roots of Bharatiya culture through practice and performance, the Sampoorna Bharat Yatra exemplifies Dr. Narayana’s vision of cultural revivalism rooted in experiential learning and national unity.
Sri Radhakrishna Kalakshetra, established in 1998, is a premier institute dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical dance and music through disciplined training, cultural programs, and global performances.
