HISTORY OF SRI RADHA KRISHNA KALAKSHETRA

Founded by the visionary duo Dr. Goruganthu B. Narayana and Smt. Goruganthu Uma Jayasree, Sri Radha Krishna Sangeeta Nrutya Kalakshetra was established with a divine purpose—to uphold, preserve, and propagate the rich legacy of Indian classical music and dance. What began as a humble initiative in the 1980s has today evolved into a revered institution known for discipline, devotion, and artistic integrity.

With decades of dedication and a clear commitment to classical purity, the Kalakshetra has become a cultural sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, offering rigorous training in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Carnatic Vocal, Veena, Violin, and Keyboard. Over the years, the institute has produced countless students who have gone on to perform on national and international stages.
